Advisory Regarding Unauthorized Badminton Leagues, Tournaments & Championships

It has come to the notice of the Badminton Association of India (BAI) that several badminton leagues, tournaments and championships are being organized in different States without obtaining prior approval or recognition from the concerned State Badminton Association and/or the Badminton Association of India.
To ensure proper regulation of the sport and safeguard the interests of players, all badminton leagues, tournaments and championships must be conducted only with the prior approval and recognition of the concerned State Association and, wherever applicable, BAI.
Important Advisory
- Any badminton league, tournament or championship organized without prior approval or recognition of the concerned State Badminton Association and/or BAI may be treated as an unauthorized event.
- All registered BAI players are strictly advised not to participate in such unauthorized leagues, tournaments or events.
- Participation in such events shall be treated as a violation of the BAI Rules and Regulations and may invite disciplinary action as deemed appropriate under the applicable provisions of BAI.
All Affiliated State Associations and Units are requested to monitor such events within their respective jurisdictions.
State Associations are also requested to circulate this advisory among their registered players, coaches, technical officials and affiliated district associations for strict compliance.
All State Associations, Units and Registered Players are requested to take note of this advisory and ensure strict adherence.
